When, therefore, the Lord has granted that after sufficient preaching of the gospel throughout the realm consent has been given also by the Great Council of the realm for the full reception of Christ’s Kingdom, then men will have to be chosen and sent to individual assemblies, men whose zeal for Christ’s Kingdom is apparent from their fruits and who have very much favor and prestige in the realm, in order that they advocate and commend earnestly in Your Royal Majesty’s name the reformation of the churches.
When this has been done, since then the Lord’s covenant will have been once more received and established by the supreme authority of the realm, it will be the duty of Your Royal Majesty to sanction this covenant with holy laws and just provisions against its violators, and to preserve this most vigilantly and constantly. He will then zealously sanction, indeed, restore among his subjects, the laws that Almighty God established concerning the care and preservation of Christ’s religion (Num. 15:40; Deut. 13:4-18; and 17:2-3).
